"Are to pray to the Holy Spirit ?" is a question that comes up fairly often in my practice. Perhaps I inadvertently trigger this inquiry by emphasizing the third person of the Trinity, The Comforter.

I freely admit that I emphasize the Holy Spirt in my counseling practice, because I am unable to comfort others apart from Him.

Still, we must discipline ourselves to think in a balanced way about our Triune God, and that will be one of my purposes tonight.
